The Man With the Perfect Idea

Once, there was a man with a brilliant idea.

This will make me rich,” he thought. “Maybe even change the world.”

But first, he told himself, he needed money.

So he worked for years, saving every spare coin.

When he finally had enough, he said: “Now I can begin.”

Then came a whisper: But what if I fail?

So he bought courses, read books, watched videos. He studied until he felt confident.

Tomorrow,” he promised.

That same day, his wife announced she was pregnant.

I have to prepare for the baby,” he thought. “I’ll start once the child is born.

But the years slipped by. Every season brought a new reason to wait.

Still, he polished the dream in his mind, saying, “When the perfect moment comes, then I’ll begin.

The perfect moment never came.

One evening, long after the dream had grown old, he sat at the head of a table. His family clapped as he blew out the candles on his 80th birthday cake.

As the smoke curled into the air, the television caught his ear.

A newsreader announced with delight:
“Today, a company reaches a billion-dollar value with a ground-breaking idea…”

It was his idea.

The same one he had carried all his life, waiting for the right time.

He smiled with the rest, but inside he knew:

The idea had not been lost.

It had simply chosen someone else who dared to begin.

Sorry, but this needs to be said:

If you’re not posting online, you’re not going for your dream.

So many people tell me they “need help.” And I’m always happy to give it. But when I ask to see their social media… their page is empty.

Some of the biggest opportunities I’ve had came from posting on LinkedIn.

Posts that turned into connections worth ridiculous amounts of money, and if I’d skipped those posts because I “didn’t have time” or “had nothing interesting to say”…

None of it would have happened.

The excuses I hear most:

I’m shy.” → Then just post text. No video, no face needed.

I don’t have time / I don’t know what to post.” → That excuse is dead.
